This bug specifically affects people using RPZ. http://www.isc.org/CVE-2011-1907 If you're actively using RPZ in production with 9.8.0 nameservers, please patch (9.8.0-P1). The issue will be fixed in 9.8.1 when it's released (soon). -- Eric Ziegast
